Tochi has a PhD in Biomaterials Science from the University of Brighton, UK. She has >54 years of cross-disciplinary research experience in materials science, cell biology and microbiology resulting in 2 journal articles, 1 book chapter, 14 conference presentations, 10 awards and >£2900 in funding. She previously worked as a lecturer at the Department if Biochemistry, University of Nigeria.

Tochi is passionate about research, communicating science and mentoring the next generation of scientists. Asides science, her other interests include music and travel.
